While the setting up in the hall was going on, there was a flurry of activity in the kitchen to prepare for the beautiful morning tea and lunch...
Guests were treated to a large range of cakes, slices and sandwiches for morning tea...
The stage was set with members 'Michele Hill' quilts on display
The morning consisted of a very interesting, sometimes funny and sometimes poignant talk from Michele Hill. Michele, showed (and wowed) the audience photos of her travels to find out more about Beatrix Potter. She also spoke about how her quilting journey has brought her to making quilts based upon the children's stories of the well known characters of Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and so on.
* The talk and movies/slide-show were very interesting and this blog writer didn't take any photos during the presentation because she was too captivated by Michele's words.
After the presentation, a delicious lunch of home-made soup (pumpkin or chicken and veg plus a roll) was served.
During the day there were many opportunities to meet Michele, purchase her books and have the books signed.
If that wasn't enough, everyone was treated to a magnificent display of show'n'tell from Members and Guests.
The day was interspersed with door prizes and raffle drawings. Every person who attended received a small gift.
