This is a very, very photo heavy post, while the gatherings were smaller due to it being mid-winter, the show'n'tell was wonderful and there was lots of it.
Starting with a border for a "Rotherfields Grey" quilt...
Followed closely by S working on her "Rotherfields Grey" centre panel...
The hexagon flowers pictured in the tin below are being appliqued onto the border strip for part of C's "Rotherfields Grey" quilt.
The photos of this quilt do not quite do it justice. Such a wonderful use of blues and browns, combined with light tone backgrounds to make a wonderful scrap buster.
As always, W, is doing stunning hand applique, here is one of her "Caswell" quilt blocks....
Another quilt from W, we have seen this in progress for the past few months, and it has also turned out stunning.
And, of course no gathering is complete without many more hexagons being paper pieced.
Hand pieced hexagons, no papers.....
Now for the knitting! M purchased a ball of wool at our day in Maldon and has knitted up a very nice slouch hat, followed by C who is knitting with a mix of commercial and hand spun wool. A very nice tactile piece.
Now, for some more completed quilts and quilt tops...
Lots of little triangles.... and..... Some blocks of "Patchwork of the Crosses"
To finish off, some truly lovely embroidery and embellishing....
