We are a community promoting quilting and related crafts.

Kilmore Quilters provides a social environment for us to get together and share knowledge, learn new skills and create wonderful pieces of art that you can throw on a bed, hang on a wall, or present to someone you love.

Monthly gatherings are held on the following days : Our evening gathering is at 7pm, on the 3rd Wednesdayof the month at the Kilmore Memorial Hall, Kilmore, in the supper room.

The day gathering is held on the following Tuesday at the same venue from 9am-12pm.

At every Quilt In and Quilt Show we offer our members a challenge.  For this Quilt In their challenge has been to create an A4 sized Mug Rug.  It has taken a little persuasion and encouragement, which has in turn offered our committee a challenge.  However, we are hopeful that we will have at least 20 or so for our guests to vote on.

Our Challenge at the last Quilt In was "Ten" in celebration our our Ten year anniversary
Our speakers this year come from two very differing backgrounds:

Deb from Havally, Frankston, Deb is a textile designer who is passionate about ethnic traditional textile design and preserving the traditional methods and traditions.

We also have Kim Simpson from the Modern Quilt Guild, Kim will be talking to us about Modern Quilts - what defines a modern quilt.

Both of our speakers will be bringing along samples to show us.

We hope to have a day filled with laughter, interesting insights and stories from our speakers and some wonderful show and tell, with a little shopping on the side.
